I am an educator and assessor at Learning Matters in Tauranga. I began my career as a primary school teacher and taught at various levels in Auckland, London and Tauranga. In 2013 I completed a Certificate in Specific Learning
Disabilities and have taught children with specific learning needs since then. Last year I also began the Associate MSL Course through the Institute for Multisensory Language Education.
Multi-sensory structured literacy teaching is an evidence-based approach and I have seen how successful it is during the five years that I have taught literacy this way. Not just with dyslexic students but with all learners. I believe that
being a self-confident learner is a key to reaching your potential, and to feel self-confident you need to experience success. My aim is to work with students, their families and their school, to enable students to make the progress they need to experience success in their learning and be the best they can be
