Build Sustainable Literacy Practice in Your School

We work alongside schools to build teacher knowledge, practice, and the systems that support a sustainable, schoolwide approach.

Flexible Support for Every School

Whether you’re building teacher capability, refining Tier 1 instruction, strengthening intervention, or developing schoolwide systems—our team is here to help. We meet you where you are and tailor support that’s grounded in evidence, aligned with the science of learning, and designed to create real change and meaningful outcomes for students and teachers alike.

This support might include:

  • In-class modelling and coaching

  • Leadership mentoring

  • System and resource development

  • Remote or in-person sessions

  • Staff and/or parent evenings

We partner with schools to co-design a practical, evidence-based path forward that builds capability and makes a lasting difference for all learners.

How could this support take shape in your school?

Full Facilitation and Coaching

An ongoing partnership over the course of a year or more to support whole-school structured literacy implementation, align tiers of instruction, and embed change across years 0–8. This includes teacher-only days and termly in-school visits.

One-off Teacher-only Days

Focused professional learning tailored to take your knowledge and practice to the next level. Focus areas may include spelling, reading, writing and or intervention.

PLD Tailored for Your Setting

Every school’s focus is different. We design support to meet your goals—whether that’s refining your literacy block, strengthening Tier 1 instruction, supporting intervention, or developing leadership capability. Support might include lesson modelling, observations, coaching, or a mix of all three.

Short-term or One-off Visits

Not every school needs a full facilitation and coaching package. We offer short-term or one-off support that is targeted and practical, without long-term commitment. This could include:

  • In-school days with lesson modelling, coaching, and after-school staff sessions

  • Remote coaching

  • Staff and/or parent evenings

  • Leadership meetings and mentoring

Our Team

Our team is located throughout Aotearoa, so we can support you wherever you are. We are able to work with you and your team either in person and/or remotely. Our team has extensive experience working alongside school leaders, SENCOs, Literacy Leads, teachers, and teaching teams to co-construct a practical, evidence-based, and sustainable path forward.

With wide-ranging experience across teaching, leadership, neurodiversity, and literacy, our facilitators and instructional coaches bring deep understanding and credibility. All are registered New Zealand teachers, Ministry-approved facilitators (Years 0–8), and have completed recognised training such as LETRS (IDA), IMSLE (ADA), or LMIT (IDA).

They’ve served as Principals, Deputy Principals, SENCOs, Literacy Leads, Team Leaders, and classroom teachers—so they understand the realities of school life. Working in partnership with you, they help co-design next steps that reflect your context and lead to meaningful, lasting change. Our team is also committed to their own ongoing professional development, continually engaging with current research and evidence to best support teachers, schools, and students.

The team feel confident in what they do, they have a clear plan and there is a progressive pathway for teaching and learning. We have retained aspects of what we previously knew and taught as well as added in our newfound knowledge and practice. Our students are making greater progress. We can evidence this, and it is so rewarding to see.”

The process of reviewing our curriculum was strategic and consultative, research and science-based. Including bringing in experts (Learning MATTERS) to facilitate parent meetings. This proved invaluable and helped us to get into much more in-depth discussions with our community.”
