Cancellation and Refund Policy

Tickets are transferrable but not refundable. To have a ticket transferred into another name email events@learningmatters.co.nz.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances Learning MATTERS reserves the right to move the symposia to online delivery. In such an event, tickets would not be refundable.

In circumstances where the event is moved online, Learning MATTERS accepts no liability for incurred costs associated with the change in delivery method.

If cancellation of the symposia for reasons outside of the organisers control is required and no online delivery is provided, a refund (less administration costs) will be given. In the event of a cancellation, the purchase will be refunded directly to the credit card used for the original purchase.

If the symposia is cancelled for any reason beyond the organiser's control, there is no right of exchange and no obligation is assumed by the organisers for arranging substitute speakers.

In the event of a cancellation, refunds will be processed after the symposia dates.

There will be no refunds for any booked attendee who does not attend on the day.

 COVID-19 guidelines (or similar) for symposia  

Responses to Covid-19 (or similar) in relation to the event industry are being continually reviewed in line with government policy and industry best practice. We will immediately advise our registered attendee of any changes to the symposia registration process and attendance guidelines.


In the event of unforeseen circumstances that disrupt the symposia, Learning MATTERS accept no responsibility. The information on the symposia webpage and in the printed collateral is correct at the time of publication. However, Learning MATTERS reserve the right to change information. Learning MATTERS disclaim any and all liability to any person in respect of the consequences of any failure to operate, accident or injury which may occur on services reserved.

Learning MATTERS reserves the right to modify the programme, which is published as an indication only. The right is reserved to add, withdraw or substitute speakers and vary the advertised programme.

Tickets and entry to the professional learning day

Following registration and payment you will receive registration and payment confirmation by email.

Please ensure you print a copy of this as the Ticket Reference No. will serve as the attendee(s) entry into the symposia. Learning MATTERS reserved the right to refuse entry if adequate ticket confirmation details are not presented.

All ticket prices are shown in NZ Dollars and exclude GST.

Payment is required by credit card.


Attendees are encouraged to take out personal travel and medical insurance which includes loss or damage of personal possessions, including loss of registration, accommodation, and/or travel fees through cancellation.


Photographs taken at the professional learning day will be uploaded to the Learning MATTERS’ website and social media pages, and may be used to promote current and future symposia in promotional material.

By registering for the symposia you are confirming consent for any video and photographs taken at the symposia, in which you may appear, to be used by Learning MATTERS in promotion of the symposia.
